Terms and Conditions (T&C) for the Sale of Gift Certificates by Käfer Berlin GmbH

1. Scope

These Terms and Conditions govern the sale and redemption of gift certificates (hereinafter “gift certificate” or “gift certificates”) by Käfer Berlin GmbH (hereinafter “we,” “us,” or “Restaurant”) to our customers (hereinafter “customer” or “you”).

2. Voucher Sales

2.1 Our vouchers can only be purchased in our voucher shop.

2.2 The voucher value is stated in euros and is due at the time of purchase.

2.3 PayPal and credit card are available as payment methods.

2.4 Vouchers cannot be redeemed for cash.

3. Validity Period

3.1 Our vouchers are valid for 24 months from the date of purchase, unless otherwise stated.

3.2 Upon expiration of the validity period, the vouchers expire and can no longer be redeemed.

3.3 An extension of the validity period is possible upon request, provided the request is made prior to the planned restaurant visit. The decision regarding an extension is at the restaurant’s discretion.

4. Redemption of Gift Certificates

4.1 Gift certificates may only be redeemed for the purchase of goods and services at the Käfer DACHGARTEN-RESTAURANT.

4.2 Gift certificates are generally redeemable for all services offered by the restaurant, regardless of the specific service for which they were originally purchased. This applies only as long as the respective service continues to be offered.

4.3 Redemption at other establishments or companies within the Käfer Group is not permitted.

4.4 Gift certificates cannot be combined with other discounts, offers, or promotions unless expressly stated.

4.5 Cash redemption of the gift certificate value is not permitted.

5. Loss or Theft

5.1 The customer is responsible for the safe handling of gift certificates.

5.2 Käfer Berlin GmbH assumes no liability for lost or stolen vouchers and will not issue replacement vouchers.

6. Liability

6.1 We are not liable for damages resulting from the improper use of vouchers.

6.2 We reserve the right to block or invalidate vouchers if we suspect misuse, fraud, or fraudulent activity.

7. Changes

7.1 We reserve the right to change these Terms and Conditions as well as the voucher terms at any time.

7.2 Changes will be published on our website and take effect upon publication.

8. Data Protection

Our separate privacy policy regarding customer data processing applies to the handling of personal data.


Terms and Conditions (T&C) for Tickets at the Käfer DACHGARTEN-RESTAURANT Berlin

by Käfer Berlin GmbH (Käfer DACHGARTEN RESTAURANT Berlin)

1. Scope of Application

1.1 These General Terms and Conditions apply to the sale of tickets for events, guided tours, and other activities (hereinafter “Tickets”) by Käfer Berlin GmbH, Platz der Republik 1, 11011 Berlin.

1.2 These GTC apply exclusively to scheduled services with a fixed date and/or time.

1.3 Separate General Terms and Conditions apply to the sale and redemption of gift certificates as well as to table reservations.

2. Conclusion of Contract

2.1 The presentation of tickets in the online shop does not constitute a legally binding offer, but rather an invitation to place an order.

2.2 Upon completion of the ordering process, the customer submits a binding offer to purchase the ticket.

2.3 The contract is concluded upon receipt of the written order confirmation via email.


3. Prices and Payment

3.1 All prices are quoted in euros and include the applicable statutory value-added tax.

3.2 Payment is due immediately upon conclusion of the contract.

3.3 Only the payment methods listed in the online shop are available.


4. Ticket Use and Scope of Services

4.1 Each ticket is generally valid for the date and event specified on the ticket.

4.2 Notwithstanding the foregoing, the value of the ticket may alternatively be used as credit toward a New Year’s Eve event at the Käfer DACHGARTEN RESTAURANT operated by Käfer Berlin GmbH, provided that such an event is offered and available.

4.3 The use of the ticket value for a New Year’s Eve event entitles the customer exclusively to apply the ticket value toward the price of the respective New Year’s Eve event. The customer must pay any difference if the event price is higher. Any remaining credit balance will not be refunded.

4.4 The application of the ticket value toward a New Year’s Eve event does not occur automatically.

If the customer wishes to make use of this option, they must contact berlin@feinkost-kaefer.de in advance via email.

4.5 There is no entitlement to participate in a specific New Year’s Eve event, on a specific date, or subject to specific availability. Redemption is subject to availability and the applicable terms and conditions of the New Year’s Eve event.

4.6 The ticket is date- and value-specific and non-transferable, unless expressly agreed otherwise.


5. No Right of Withdrawal / Cancellation

5.1 There is no right of withdrawal pursuant to Section 312g(2)(9) of the German Civil Code (BGB) for the purchase of tickets for events, guided tours, or other events with a fixed date or time period.

5.2 This also applies if the ticket value can alternatively be used for a New Year’s Eve event in accordance with Section 4.

5.3 Cancellation or refund of the ticket price is excluded unless expressly agreed otherwise.

5.4 In the event of a no-show, the ticket expires without replacement.


 6. Changes or Cancellation of the Event

6.1 Käfer Berlin GmbH reserves the right to cancel or postpone events for good cause (e.g., force majeure, official orders, illness of the guide, or unforeseeable operational reasons).

6.2 In this case, the ticket price will be fully refunded or, at the customer’s discretion, an alternative date will be offered.

6.3 No further claims shall exist.


 7. Liability

7.1 Participation in the event is at your own risk.

7.2 Käfer Berlin GmbH shall be liable for damages arising in connection with the conduct of the event only in cases of willful misconduct or gross negligence, to the extent permitted by law.

7.3 Käfer Berlin GmbH shall be liable for damages resulting from injury to life, limb, or health in accordance with statutory provisions.

7.4 Content, explanations, or information provided by the guide during the event are given to the best of the guide’s knowledge but do not constitute a guarantee or assurance.


 8. Data Protection

8.1 The processing of personal data is governed by the separate data protection notice of Käfer Berlin GmbH in its currently valid version.


9. Final Provisions

9.1 The laws of the Federal Republic of Germany apply.

9.2 Should any individual provisions of these Terms and Conditions be or become invalid, the validity of the remaining provisions shall remain unaffected.

Terms and Conditions (T&C) for Reservations at the Käfer DACHGARTEN-RESTAURANT Berlin

1. Scope of Application

These Terms and Conditions apply to all reservations at the Käfer DACHGARTEN-RESTAURANT Berlin, operated by Käfer Berlin GmbH (located in the German Bundestag, Platz der Republik 1, 11011 Berlin).

2. Reservation Request and Confirmation

2.1 Reservation requests submitted via our online form or by email are initially non-binding.

2.2 A reservation is only valid once you have received a written reservation confirmation from us via email. We will inform you within 24 hours of receiving your request whether seats are available.

2.3 To guarantee your reservation, we require your credit card information. The card will not be charged at this time, but only authorized.

2.4 If we are unable to send a reservation confirmation within 24 hours, this is usually due to a failed credit card authorization or lack of availability. In this case, we ask that you submit a new request or contact us directly.

3. Credit Card Authorization and Payment Processing

3.1 By providing your credit card information, you authorize Käfer Berlin GmbH to send payment instructions to your credit card issuer via the payment service provider Concardis Payengine so that charges can be processed in accordance with the following terms and conditions.

3.2 A charge will only be made if you do not cancel your reservation in a timely manner, make last-minute changes, or fail to show up at the agreed-upon time (“no-show”).

3.3 The amount charged depends on the reservation type you selected (see Section 5).

4. Cancellations and Changes

4.1 Free cancellation or changes are possible up to 24 hours before the agreed reservation time (subject to availability).

4.2 Cancellations or changes must be made in writing via email to berlin@feinkost-kaefer.de
